We led a group of brave people to the Antarctic waters last year and we are doing IT again.

This trip will differ from our usual programs in that there will be no specific overarching topic. This program will instead be individually curated for the group who will get to participate. This means you may request topics of interest to you and we will do our best to get them on the lecture list on the cruise ship. This may also include you working on a research topic you are interested in. We recommend thinking of something that will be most meaningful for you, your classroom or leadership position, and one that will help you get extra time off late in the year in 2025 or early in 2026. GEA will provide you with contacts, resources, visits, and the experiences needed to get you off to a good start.
In addition to the Antartica expedition you will be getting a day and night in Buenos Aires, and a day in the Southernmost point of South America, Patagonia. There we will enjoy the natural wonders of the Tierra del Fuego National Park and enjoy local food. We may be offering an extension to your Argentina experience, if there is enough interest.

Enjoy close encounters with wildlife, magnificent icebergs, and sweeping glacial landscapes as you explore by zodiac or kayak. At the southern tip of the Americas, Tierra del Fuego National Park and Ushuaia offer a rare blend of wild beauty and end-of-the-world mystique. The Antarctic expedition includes some time to wander windswept trails through forests set against the ocean and the windswept Andes. In Ushuaia—the world’s southernmost city—colorful buildings and a dramatic landscape line the harbor. We’ll embark on our journey to Antarctica from here.
