Explore the ideas behind building resilient classrooms by facilitating courageous conversations and creating safe spaces in the classroom. Engage in dialogue through workshops, lectures, and informal discussions around the campfire. Discover the history of the South from before the pilgrims to the antebellum era and the civil war to the civil rights era and beyond. Relax in the tranquil mountain landscape through yoga, easy hikes and good food.
Past GEA participants visited China on a special GEA excursion during the summer of 2017.

They visited Chinese schools and landmarks in different cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an. Some of our alumni fell in love with Chinese food; others, not so much!

"Global Education Allies provided a fabulous experience for doctoral students and faculty in Educational Leadership at San Jose State University. Our cohort group spent almost two weeks exploring Finland, Sweden, Estonia, and Russia. Every location was great. We visited schools, participated in lectures and seminars, and engaged with other educators. At every location, we were accompanied and guided by the GEA sponsors, who knew the region and local culture. All great!"

"Global Education Allies enabled Weber State University MBA students to have relevant and meaningful cultural and business experiences in Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Denmark. Our guides' knowledge helped students make valuable comparisons among the cultures and business practices of those countries in that region. Every detail was planned, making the trip a success for all of us."

"GEA put together an amazing program for our students. The daily schedule was full so the students got to know Finland and Sweden very well, but there was enough built in downtime for the students to decompress and reflect. Our students really enjoyed their stay with their host families. Even though it was just for one night, the students gained a new perspective on what life as a teen in Finland was like. Spending the night at the lake was the most memorable part of the trip for the students. They loved their authentic sauna experience and the unforgettable sunset at the lake. I am so thankful for all the coordination that GEA did to put together this amazing program and hope that other schools can benefit from it too!"
